We are the Currie family. We live in Western Australia and this is us;
Me: I'm Emma, I'm 23 years old and mother of two. Kaitlyn my daughter is 5 going on 15 and Bradley is 3. I got married last year (after 6 years together) to my best buddy and partner in crime.
I enjoy the simple things in life, being with family, making a mess, cooking with my brand new Thermomix and every now and then I dust off the old SLR camera and get snap happy. Currently pregnant with number 3 I'm moody, grumpy, uncomfortable and HUGE!
Hubby: Phil is 4 and a half years older than me and at least 10 years more immature. He's a heavy duty diesel mechanic. He likes working but considers it as "taking a rest" from the madness of running a house. He's the worst handyman you will ever meet, but makes up for it by being a half decent cook. He will be anybody's best friend (especially with a few beers under his belt) and loves spending the weekends doing family things (anything to avoid the housework!)! Just don't mention his grey hairs and you will have a friend for life!
Miss 5: Kaitlyn is our oldest and most stubborn child. She's 5 going on 15 and has the teenage attitude well and truly sorted out. She suffers from anxiety and mild OCD but she's the sweetest little girl. Kaitlyn is currently in pre primary and enjoying playing with the iPads in lessons. She tap dances on a Monday arvo and loves 'helping' around the house. She's also been known to sneak out of her bed at night time to listen in to our adult conversations. When she grows up she wants to do dishes and have two kids and a baby.
Mr 3: Bradley is the baby of the family....for now. He's baby faced and knows how to use it to his advantage. This kid makes me laugh more than anyone else. He loves animals, cars, playing outside and riding his bike. Currently in 4 yr old kindy he is having fun and learning loads! Although the nightly homework is killing me! When he grows up he wants to be a cowboy, riding horses, not bulls because "bulls are a bit crazy". He's overcome being born in an ambulance, open heart surgery at birth and a testical stuck in his stomach. He's our little fighter and my little hero.
Zac: is our ever faithful old Labrador doggy. He's now 8 and a half years old and is the craziest dog you will ever meet. He also suffers from anxiety and it's not unusual to see him reversing the entire length of the hallway after having a case of the ooglie booglies. He hates mice, heights, car rides and being sent outside for bad behaviour. He's never played fetch, walked nicely on a lead, dug holes or any other typical doggy traits. He's overcome an allergy to ALL dog foods, running through a glass window and having his tail slammed in the car door.
And that is our family for now. Come July there will be a new addition to add to the madness of our everyday lives.
I love the way you write ! so open and fresh :) I would love to see photos of your family, you all sound so sweet ! I'm 23 as well, no children yet. Best wishes for your pregnancy !
